Cinderella's Castle Suite

4/9/13 My first post--hooray! To kick off my interior design blog, what better way to showcase it than to post about the room of all rooms? I'm talking about the Cinderella's Castle Suite in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. Goodness, I am in love. Everything about it truly is magical, from the detailed ceilings, to the gorgeous bathtub murals, to the actual glass slipper on display. It's enough to make anyone want to be a princess again. The only downside to the suite is that it's literally priceless; money cannot buy you a stay. But, you can pore over these pictures whilst swooning at the magic of it all, because that's what I'll be doing!
Called the "Royal Bathroom", it has a separate bathtub (pictured below), shower, and a toilet themed like a throne.
The bathtub is a Jacuzzi with a waterfall faucet, and 30,000 hand-cut Italian tiles create the mosaics depicting scenes from the fairy tale.
The suite can accommodate six guests, with two queen sized beds and a pull-out sofa in the parlor area.

The faux-fireplace has a fiber optic display in the back, with a 19th century portrait of the princess above. The portrait "magically" transfers to a television screen when ready.
This chandelier, along with other Cinderella memorabilia is in a foyer outside of the elevator--the only way to access the suite.
This hand-cut mural took four craftsmen four months to create. It consists of 30,000 tiles, including 3,400 24-carat gold tiles and 120 white-gold pieces.
This is the parlor. It has mirrored spaces that can open up to reveal secret doors with drawers and space to hang clothes.
Just another example of the painstaking detail put into the room. Some of Cinderella's friends are carved into the molding.
YES, THIS IS THE ACTUAL GLASS SLIPPER IN HER ROOM! If you're not completely infatuated at this point, I don't know what it'll take to sway you.
All windows in the suite are stained glass to restrict Fantasyland's view of the castle.
This door leads you to the private elevator up to the suite. If you dine in the Castle at Cinderella's Royal Table, you can pass this door yourself.
Finally, Cinderella's crown and scepter, just to really be cruel and show the true opulence and beauty of being a princess. I feel like a little girl again!
